Logo Story

The NAREA Column in the Spring 2003 issue of Innovations in Early Education: The International Reggio Exchange, Volume 10,  Number 2, featured an article about the process of design of the new NAREA logo. In the introduction to the article, Lori Geismar-Ryan, NAREA Communication and Information Committee Co-Chair at the time, shared the thoughts behind the decision of the NAREA board to invite members to share their creativity by contributing a logo design for this newly formed organization as well as the rationale behind the choice of the logo. In the article, the NAREA logo designer, Zvia Dover, explains the choices she made in the design of the NAREA logo, in an effort to represent the underlying philosophy and vision of NAREA.
