Study Groups - Historical

Angela Ferrario was part of the group that hosted "The Hundred Languages of Children" exhibit in Boston, Massachusetts. In the following year, Angela organized a delegation to Reggio Emilia and members of the exhibit host group in Boston formed the majority of this 19-person delegation. For the next three years, as interest among U.S. educators continued to increase, Angela led delegations that grew to 50 people. In 1994, the organization of Reggio Children was established in Reggio Emilia to manage the pedagogical and cultural exchange initiatives that had already been taking place for many years between the municipal early childhood services, and a large number of teachers and researchers from all over the world. At that time, Angela accepted the role as Reggio Children Liaison in the U.S. for Study Groups. Today, the organization of study groups now includes up to 300 participants and is supported by Reggio Children International Network representatives from countries around the world.
