Tiziana Filippini, pedagogista, has a degree in Psychology from Padova University. Tiziana was a member of the Pedagogical Coordinating Team of the Preschools and Infant-toddler Centers – Istituzione of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia from 1978 to 2015. From 1994 to 2010, she coordinated the Documentation and Educational Research Center of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia. She was a referent for the exhibition “The Hundred Languages of Children,” and she is one of the curators of the new version of the exhibit “The Wonder of Learning–The Hundred Languages of Children.” She participated in the collaborative research project with Reggio Children and Harvard Graduate School of Education, Project Zero, titled “Making Learning Visible,” which was published in a well-known book by the same title in North America and around the world. She has authored several articles and contributed to many Reggio Children publications.
Tiziana coordinated professional development initiatives for teachers and atelieristi of the municipal infant-toddler centers and preschools in Reggio Emilia. She also collaborated with Officina Educativa, an educational service of the city of Reggio Emilia that works and operates with primary schools and with children from 6 years on. During her more than 35-year experience, Tiziana has been a speaker at conferences and seminars in Italy and abroad, presenting the experience of the Preschools and Infant-toddler Centers – Istituzione of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia. Periodically, Tiziana travels to the United States to consult with educators in schools and to present at professional development initiatives.
Mirella Ruozzi completed her art school diploma course, in ceramics, at the Gaetano Chierici Art School in Reggio Emilia in 1972, and the professional exam to qualify as a teacher of arts education in middle schools in 1973. From 1975 to 2016, Mirella Ruozzi was an atelierista with the Preschools and Infant-toddler Centers – Istituzione of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia. She was the atelierista of the Ada Gobetti Municipal Infant-toddler Center, and the Ernesto Balducci Municipal Preschool. Mirella has collaborated with Reggio Emilia municipal infant-toddler centers: Genoeffa Cervi, Peter Pan, Luigi Bellelli, Gianni Rodari, and Pablo Picasso.
In 2001, Mirella began curating projects on research, professional development, and more in-depth investigation at the Gianni Rodari Theatre Workshop through the Preschools and Infant-Toddler Centers – Istituzione of the Municipality of Reggio
Emilia. She has collaborated on and curated several educational and professional learning projects for the Istituzione. She collaborates with Reggio Children on exhibitions, ateliers, publishing projects, and professional development courses by participating in seminars and workshops in Italy and overseas.
