Lead a DSS A+ rated preschool of 60 students and 11 staff members on beautiful Hilton Head Island.
Responsible for developing school culture.
Personnel: recruitment, training, mentoring, supervision, professional development and evaluation.
Finance: budget management, tuition billing, payroll services, grant solicitation, vendor relations.
Administration: DSS/ABC licensure, DHEC compliance.
Curriculum/Pedagogy: develop programs of study according to the practices and principles of Reggio Emilia and the Project Approach to Inquiry, collaborate with faculty to execute long range plans, oversee assessment, adhere to SC Early Learning Standards.
Stakeholder relations: maintain open communication with parents, students, staff, Board of Directors, and community at large.
B.S. Early Childhood Development
M. Ed. Administration, preferred

The First Presbyterian Day School was established in 1984 as an outreach mission ministry of the First Presbyterian Church.
The primary purpose of the school is to provide a safe, healthy, and creative learning environment for children of varied backgrounds whose parents are employed in our community. We actively seek families or single parents who need tuition assistance. It is our desire to provide a warm, caring, nurturing staff that will create a loving and trusting Christian atmosphere in which children and parents feel valued and competent.
The staff members promote each child’s self-concept and individual strengths. They will strive to build meaningful relationships with parents and coordinate childrearing practices and expectations.
