Description, Responsibilities, & Duties

Center Director Position Opening, late September 2017 Botanic Gardens Children’s Center is seeking a qualified candidate to lead the program. Part of a system of child care centers on the Harvard campus, Botanic Gardens boasts an excellent staff, working environment, outstanding compensation and benefits package and an engaged, thoughtful parent community. A Reggio inspired program with infants through preschool, BGCC enrolls 60 children in beautiful classrooms adjacent to a newly renovated natural playground. Center directors are responsible for recruitment and retention of a balanced and experienced staff, center enrollment and budget development. Investment in positive relationships with children, families and staff rooted in an image of the child as capable and competent is a must. Campus Child Care supports the University affiliated programs with financial management expertise, benefits administration and governance structure. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

Experience in Early Childhood leadership. Mass. DEEC Director 2 qualifications & BA required, Masters degree preferred.

Salary & Benefits

75,000 - 85,000 Full health and dental coverage Retirement, disability, transportation reimbursement plan Generous time off

Program Description

A Reggio inspired program serving a diverse group of families from the Harvard University community. BGCC serves 60 children from infant through preschool in 5 classrooms with 20+ staff members. A vibrant community of families from across the globe, BGCC has recently completed construction of a fabulous natural playground. Running on an academic schedule, BGCC's calendar runs year round, mimicking the University's calendar.
