Ventana School is a Reggio-inspired preschool through 5th grade school located in Los Altos. We are seeking teachers for our preschool program beginning in June 2021 or August 2021. Hours are typically 8:30-4:00, but may be shorter or longer. Our preschool is a year-round program.
At Ventana we support children’s play, exploration, inquiry, and creative/critical thinking. We promote experiences that build a child’s relationship with the natural world and a wide variety of learning materials. Ventana School is a place where learning is a joint venture between children and teachers and where learning happens in the context of joyful childhood play.
Because of Covid-19, we are taking extra safety precautions. All Ventana teachers and staff are expected to be tested regularly and to abide by all Ventana School policies and procedures. This keeps both our teachers and our children/families safer.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
Clear background record including fingerprints
2+ years experience in licensed child care setting(s)
Minimum 12 units of ECE coursework (the “CORE” ECE classes)
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field strongly preferred
Ventana often promotes and hires from within.
