Description, Responsibilities, & Duties

Individuals must show a strong desire and appreciation for infants and toddlers, as well as an understanding of how their thoughts are important in designing curriculum choices.
They must interact positively with families and the community.
Team-players are essential for obtaining and retain the position.
The learning environment must be maintained for the safety of the children and to encourage learning.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is desired.
A strong desire to work with young children shown by professional work experience
First Aid and CPR Certification
Positive FingerPrint Check

Program Description

Community Childhood Learning Place, named the Round School by the children, was specially designed for children and built by the community for families.
As you climb Windmill Hill into Castine, a lovely coastal community in Maine, you will see the Community Childhood Learning Place. The logo for CCLP is the child’s toy, the pinwheel, The colored vanes on a stick twirl in the wind symbolizing the turning of the obstacles into dreams and opportunities represent Community Childhood Learning Place does inspire opportunities by providing a quality learning environment, a curriculum based upon the arts through creative play and discovery, teachers with a focus on the arts, science and psychological well-being and value added in Environment, Arts, Teachers, and Value.
