Description, Responsibilities, & Duties

Our ideal candidate will love working with and simply love young children, have a professional, nurturing demeanor and dedication to the profession, to young children, and to their families. Experience in emergent curriculum, an appreciation and understanding of co-learning with children. Candidates should enjoy working in a team- approach, with the belief that children deserve to be with adults that live with integrity, honesty and respect for others. Must be highly flexible, multi-task, pay attention to detail, have a good sense of humor, and be a self- starter.
We’re looking for a candidate who has a keen understanding of the competency of all children with a deep commitment to reflective practice. one who is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, comfortable sitting on the ground and getting dirty,
comfortable handling insects and other small creatures,
interested in further growth in naturalist studies and mentoring
a nurturing, loving, and creative attitude dedicated to developmentally appropriate practice and aware of developmental needs of young children, observant (capable of documenting each child’s creation or conversation)

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

College degree required.
Experience working in a Reggio Inspired Program or with emergent or play-based curriculum preferred.
CPR/1st Aid or Lifeguard certification and ability to pass Level 11 background check and hair follicle drug test

Salary & Benefits

Salary commensurate with experience plus a bonus structure based on performance.

1 week off in between every 6-7 weeks in a 11 month school year.

Ideal applicant will be invited to join for 1 week. Upon feedback from children, their families and colleagues, applicant will get a good feel if position will be a good fit and vice versa.
