Description, Responsibilities, & Duties

Temple Beth Sholom Innovative School (TBSIS) on Miami Beach is seeking energetic, dynamic, reflective and intentional elementary level educators, at the lead and associate levels, who joyfully embrace living Jewishly every day and social-constructivist theories of learning and living. The elementary educators will have a strong and healthy image of the child and deeply understand child development and how children learn.
As an educational program that is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach, the responsibilities of the elementary educators will include mindfully developing social constructivist approaches and methodologies that incorporate the State of Florida and National Standards while enabling a child to construct his or her own knowledge within a joyful and engaging environment. Additionally, TBSIS is an AltSchool Partner School. Our elementary level educators are responsible for learning about and incorporating the AltSchool Platform in their daily curriculum planning, observations, assessments, and parent communication.
The elementary educators become a part of the larger professional collaborative team of educators within Temple Beth Sholom Innovative School. The lead elementary educators work alongside full-time Associate Elementary Educators and together they bring our elementary learners the highest quality learning experiences.

TBS Innovative School is a progressive Elementary School designed to encourage and develop our understandings and practices within the social-constructivist approach to learning regarding the whole child.
