Inspired Preschool is a new, home-based program opening in January 2019 with 12 children. The owner, Lilly, is excited to find someone who will partner with her in building a strong, Reggio-inspired program!
The ideal candidate would:
– Possess the ability to relate to children and adults in a positive, professional, respectful, and nurturing manner.
-Maintain written records and observations of all children in the classroom, noting their development and generating possible next steps for curriculum
-Create high-quality documentation of the children’s daily life, learning, and the collaborative project work
-Two+ years of experience in a child care or preschool setting with children 2-5 years old
-At least 12+ ECE units (AA degree or higher in ECE/CD or related field preferred)
-CPR certified or willingness to complete before beginning
-Fingerprints clearance through Department of Justice for Child Abuse Index Check and Criminal Record Statement
-A knowledge of Reggio-inspired practices and a desire to learn more required; experience in a Reggio-inspired environment is a huge plus
Salary range $22-25 depending on experience and education
Paid holidays, Winter break, and Spring Break
Low ratio of 6:1 or 4:1

Inspired Preschool of San Mateo is a new, high quality home-based preschool in the Parkside neighborhood of San Mateo, CA serving up to 12 children aged 2.5-5 years old. Inspired is a Reggio-influenced preschool where children are educated through child-centered projects, hands-on experiences, open-ended activities and fine arts materials.
The owner of Inspired Preschool has 19+ years as a preschool teacher mostly in Reggio-inspired programs and is seeking early childhood educators to join her in building an amazing, child-centered program that values best practices for children, reflective practice, and open, honest communication with families.
