Mountain Village School is a community of young children and early childhood educators in Stowe, Vermont. We care for children from infancy to age six. We believe that children are strong, resilient, and capable learners. Our teaching practices support a sense of respect for ourselves and for others, self-help skills, kindness, and social competence. Our practice is influenced by the Reggio Emilia Approach. We are currently searching for a lead teacher to join us for the 2023-2024 school year.
Responsibilities include:
Planning and implementing curriculum that is based on children\’s interests and development.
Forming respectful and responsive relationships with children
Establishing and maintaining consistent routines.
Observing and documenting children’s interests, capabilities, and temperaments in order to facilitate cognitively stimulating experiences and learning environments.
Playing outside with children in all types of weather.
Working with families to support children at school and at home.
Collaborating with and supporting co-teachers in putting Mountain Village School teaching philosophies into practice
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 1 or more years of teaching experience. A current Vermont Teaching License is strongly preferred.
Salary: $39,000.00 – $54,000.00 per year
