Duties include, but are not limited to: implement program activities as part of a teaching team; plan experiences based on children’s development and interests; develop and maintain positive relationships with children and families; implement developmentally appropriate practices as indicated by NAEYC accreditation standards; document and assess the needs of individual children for incorporation into daily planning; and participate in program initiatives in alignment with a research and model demonstration program.
Applicant must be comfortable working in a laboratory environment with a high level of student observers.
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field required. Teaching certification and/or Master’s degree in early childhood preferred.

The LSU Early Childhood Education Laboratory Preschool is a Reggio Emilia – inspired research facility within the School of Education and is aligned with undergraduate and graduate programs in Early Childhood Education.
Embedded within the College of Human Sciences & Education, the ECE Lab Preschool serves as a laboratory for the generation of cutting-edge research in the areas of child development and education. It also serves as a training site for undergraduate and graduate students as a model demonstration site within the community. Through its support of research and teaching, the ECE Lab Preschool will generate and disseminate knowledge about best practices in early childhood education to support children’s development and learning.
