The Director of Education assists the owner in overseeing the school, and has a focus on educational programming, classroom observations and staff training & development. As the Director of Education, you will:
-Assume responsibility for the daily operations and every aspect of the school.
-Work in conjunction with the owner to ensure compliance with all licensing/accrediting agencies.
-Abide by and enforce all terms of TerraNichol Academy Of The Arts school Employee Manual.
-Produce written work for parents, staff, peers and supervisors that is of above-standard quality in composition, content, and timeliness.
-Strive to achieve goals in all areas of position to promote the school’s and the company’s growth and prosperity.
-Lead or assist in learning lab environments in order to maintain ratios, meet financial goals, and serve as a role model.
-Social Media Marketing experience.
-Manage a staff of 4-6 team members.
We also have immediate openings for a Lead Teacher experienced in the Reggio Emilia approach
Our school follows the Sarasota County School Calendar.
-Experience with ages 18 mos~5 years old.
-Must be able to successfully lead and assist teaching team and program educational director
-Apply classroom management techniques and implement school philosophy and policies.
-The teacher must be able to follow curriculum webs and follow school’s example.
-The teacher must be able to work with all ages and in a fast pace environment.
-Must be detail oriented.
-Must demonstrate strong organizational skills.
-Must be able to thrive in the learning environment independently with a strong awareness of their surroundings while recognizing the needs of students and teaching team members.

What We Need From Our Director:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education (with a minimum of 24 credits in the field), all Florida State Requirements 2022, and First Aid and CPR
-Two years teaching experience in Early Childhood Education, required
-VPK 2022 director credential.
-Supervisory experience, required
-Knowledge of Reggio Emilia Approach
-Experience writing and reviewing student assessments (2022 Assessments course training on-line), required.
-Experience observing learning labs and Reggio Emilia classroom set up and design
What We Need From Our Co-Teacher:
-Requires minimum of DCF 40 hrs
-First Aid and CPR for infant/child
-VPK credential
-Local and Federal Level 2 background screening
-Minimum of one-year preschool classroom teaching experience required
-Preschool teaching experience in Reggio Emilia inspired environment, Montessori, or both desired experience with school gardens, early childhood art, music, movement, Spanish, literacy, natural history & science required!
