Description, Responsibilities, & Duties

Successful candidate will be a positive member of a team organizing and delivering quality learning experiences to young children; nurturing the positive development of each child; documenting the process of learning for each child, fostering positive communication between parents and community; and pursuing individual professional development.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

All successful candidates should possess:
Undergraduate degree in early childhood education and development or related field of education.
Experience working with young children and their families.
Federal background check
CPR and First Aid certification
Understanding of Reggio Emilia Approach to early learning and development

Program Description

Community Childhood Learning Place is located in a charming village on the coast of Maine approximately 40-miles for Acadia National Park. The program uses a Reggio Emilia inspired curriculum delivered in a quality environment built for young children on the foundation of an 1895 community water tank. The children learn through discovery projects with additional quality input from the teachers and the community.
