Toddler Co-Teacher

Description, Responsibilities, & Duties

Oberlin Early Childhood Center, a 5 Star, NAC accredited early learning program located in a small town home to Oberlin College and Conservatory is seeking a dynamic full-time co-teacher to work with the teacher as a team to support the implementation of the Reggio Emilia approach. The center preschool program has been implementing the Reggio Approach for years but we have expanded our approach to our toddler program. Our intentionally designed indoor environments and a two acre outdoor learning environment situated within a 15 minute walk to town, offers unlimited opportunities for open-ended play and discovery. This person will work alongside the Curriculum Coordinator and co-teacher to ensure the implementation of our Reggio Inspired approach is consistent and is streamlined throughout our center.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

Completion of Early Childhood Education degree preferred or a combined education and experience to obtain a in Early Childhood Education. Experience and knowledge of the Reggio Emilia approach a must. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children preferred

Program Description

Oberlin Early Childhood Center is a not-for-profit organization that has been in existence since 1973. We serve children age 6 weeks to Kindergarten in a small town 30 minutes west of downtown Cleveland. Oberlin is home to Oberlin College and Conservatory which provides unlimited opportunities for teachers to provide for a wide variety of experiences for children.
