We are a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool that is seeking an experienced, inspired and motivated co-teacher for our two\\\’s classroom. The teacher will work with an existing team in planning, leading groups, documenting work, providing provocations, assessment, participating in parent meetings, writing blogs and reports and fulfilling responsibilities in the daily care of the children.
The candidate must have a minimum of a BA in Early Childhood education, have NY State certification and have experience working in a setting where the approach draws from Reggio Emilia with very young children.
Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits, including health insurance, is provided after a probation period. Professional development opportunities are offered to all staff.

We are a small nursery school that is affiliated with Columbia University. We are housed in a brownstone on the Upper West Side of Manhattan For the past 16 years we have embraced the philosophy from Reggio Emilia into our program. We have 3 classrooms, a two\\\’s, a three\\\’s and a four\\\’s. We have our own backyard, although we rely heavily on outings in the parks and open spaces near our preschool. We have a separate studio and a teacher who doubles as a classroom and studio teacher. We are a parent cooperative and parents participate by serving on committees.
We offer both half and full day programs, all are five days per week to support the children\\\’s projects, provide continuity and establish meaningful relationships between the children, and between the children and staff.
