Start Date: August 20, 2014
1. A minimum of 12 ECE units for the Co-Teacher position. BA or Associates degree in Early Childhood Education highly desirable.
2. Knowledge of child development, early childhood education, and emergent curriculum.
3. Familiarity with the Reggio Approach, project based learning and emergent curriculum development.
3. Ability to implement, evaluate and adapt developmentally appropriate curriculum.
4. Ability to work in teams and independently, prioritize responsibilities and manage time.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
6. Punctuality and dependability.
7. Good judgment, clear communication and decision-making skills.
8. Ability to use and teach planning, goal setting and problem solving skills.
9. mac Computer proficiency including, but not limited to, word processing and e-mail.
10. Familiarity with diverse cultures and the ability to be culturally sensitive, accepting and open to a variety of parenting styles.
