Parker River Community Preschool seeks an EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER for the upcoming school year. Candidates should have a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and experience in a toddler-preschool classroom. Ability to effectively collaborate/communicate with a team, flexibility, passion for early childhood education and a desire for life-long learning are required qualities. Experience in a constructivist early childhood environment is a plus. This position is ideally a full time school-year position but qualified part time candidates will be considered as well. Summer Program hours are available as well.
Our small growing preschool is located in the heart of downtown Rowley Massachusetts. We are a constructivist preschool inspired by the schools in Reggio Emilia as well as thoughtful and progressive educators such as Malaguzzi, Gerber, Vygotsky and more. We have four classrooms and offer preschool & care for children ages 15 months to six years. We also offer Parent-Child Playgroups, Discovery Classes, and Educator Workshops for children and families in the community. Our incredible team of teachers, director, curriculum specialist, and administrative support are committed to building relationships in the classroom and establishing an environment of trust where learning comes alive through play and exploration. We have 4 indoor classrooms as well as 2 outdoor classroom spaces—we are strongly influenced by art and nature and spend time outside each day, sometimes all day!
