Director IV
Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, the Director organizes, plans and directs the Center’s early childhood programs, curriculum, activities and operations, ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws governing child care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervising staff; designing professional development for teachers; managing financial affairs; overseeing physical facilities; communicating with parents; scheduling student interns; and performing related work as required.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and two years of professional experience with classroom instruction in an early childhood setting required. A Doctor of Philosophy degree or a Doctor of Education degree may be substituted for the two years of indicated experience. Experience in administration and supervision of early childhood centers and extensive knowledge of Reggio Emilia inspired teaching practices preferred.

The Kean University Child Care and Development Center (KUCCDC), WHICH HAS RECENTLY EXPANDED TO FOUR CLASSROOMS, is a full day, Reggio Emilia inspired, NAEYC ACCREDITED, laboratory demonstration school affiliated with the Early Childhood and Family Studies Program AT KEAN UNIVERSITY. The cENTER SERVES children ages 2-5 of faculty, staff, students and the community.
