DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Assistant Director, we are looking for committed individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of young children and their families, while effectively and efficiently managing all school operations.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Director include, but are not limited to:
• Ensure curriculum and developmentally practices are in place in the center
• Conduct tours for prospective parents and enroll new families
• Create and implement marketing plans to drive enrollment
• Ensure licensing standards are met and assist in the accreditation process for the center
• Assist teachers with weekly development and execution of curriculum and program activities
• Monitor and manage financial progress of the center
• Ensure a safe environment for the children in our care
• Create work schedules and ensure guidelines for ratios of staff to students are met
• Interact with children and staff to encourage their involvement in activities
• Establish and maintain good communications with parents through weekly newsletters, regular emails, approved social networks and phone calls to students’ parents
• Apply and oversee positive discipline that is child-centered and respectful
• Keep accurate records and reports regarding school policy and regulations required by Florida Statutes
• Lead and participate in staff training
• Implement school policies and procedures required to uphold school regulations
• Provide status updates on program goals, occurrences and events regarding parents and students
• Perform other duties as assigned by the owners
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Florida Directors Credential or working towards transferring credential from another state
• Ability to travel out of state to attend professional development opportunities, and possibly to Italy
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Top level or working towards the highest level of Directors Credential
• Bachelor’s degree
• Master’s degree
• Experience and/or knowledge with Reggio Emilia inspired schools
