The Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our center. You will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of the organization, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment for our youngest learners. You will provide strong oversight of all aspects of the center, from curriculum development and staff training to financial management and community relations.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Vision:
Develop and implement a strategic plan to ensure the long-term growth and sustainability of the center.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that cultivates high staff morale and retention.
Oversee the development and implementation of high-quality, age-appropriate curriculum aligned with early childhood education best practices.
Operations Management:
Ensure compliance with all applicable licensing regulations and safety standards.
Develop and manage the annual budget, including overseeing financial reporting and grant applications (if applicable).
Lead the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of a qualified staff team.
Community Relations & Advocacy:
Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, families, and community partners.
Represent the center as a leading voice for early childhood education in the community.
Secure funding and explore opportunities for grant funding and fundraising initiatives (if applicable).
-Experience with the Reggio Emilia approach and values
-Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (or a Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience).
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a childcare or early childhood education setting.
-Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic plans.
-Strong understanding of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
-Excellent financial management and budgeting skills.
-Effective communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
-Ability to lead and motivate a team.
-Commitment to providing high-quality care and education for infants -and toddlers.
Salary will be based on experience: $55,000-$85,000

Explore and Discover is a Reggio Emilia-inspired childcare facility for ages six weeks to three years in the great Denver metro area. Children explore the world around them through play, and our teachers and parents participate as partners every day. E&D operates as a cooperative and families participate monthly in activities that support the program as well as attend parent meetings, parent-education seminars, and special events.
