Description, Responsibilities, & Duties

Teachers’ daily duties include:
• Developing learning plans
• Meeting the individual needs of teach child
• Creating a rich learning environment
• Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
• Expectations that are age and developmentally appropriate
• Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
• Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and colleagues
• Using assessment tools
• Participation in staff development on and off site
• Building teamwork
• Commitment to continuing education

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

Four year degree in ECE, Bachelors + CDA or Human Development preferred
Minimum of 5 years teaching in a pre-school environment.
Strong knowledge of Reggio Emilia philosophy
Proficient in MAC based platforms
Excellent communication skills
A nurturing and loving teaching style
Dependability and a commitment to professional development and teamwork
Commitment to continuing education
