full time co-teacher in a reggio-inspired full day, full year program.
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic educator who:
– Embraces the role of teacher as learner – curious and continually learning about and with children
– Is a careful observer and listener – appreciative of and amazed by the vast capabilities of young children
– Works to create strong relationships based on respect, love, and the joy of living and learning together
– Views conflict as an opportunity for growth; can work toward better understanding and creative, respectful resolutions with families, co-workers, and children
– Has skills for supporting and documenting children’s work; including writing, computer, photography and the use of various media -clay,paint,music,dance,etc.
AA/BA degree in ece or related field
Reggio inspired experience preferred
2 years teaching experience preferred
Salary depends on education and experience

We are a Small beautiful urban program built as a reggio-inspired program in 2002. We were built as an on-site program for families who work in the community Building, which houses a variety of non-profit organizations. Community Building Children’s Center operates as a project of Blueprints for learning, a non-profit that also operates a training program for early educators.
