We are seeking full-time constructivist educators that have a deep respect for young children and are committed to their own life-long learning. Early childhood educators at The Gillispie School team teach in nurturing, inquiry-based environments, which meet the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical needs of young children. Teachers co-research topics with children and colleagues to create a curriculum that supports inquiry-based, experiential learning. Daily documentation, reflection meetings, and analysis of children’s experiences are used as tools to deepen and extend learning.
*Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field
*Two years full-time teaching experience in a social constructivist, inquiry-based environment
*Ability to develop and maintain close parent relationships
*Familiarity with the Reggio approach
*Excellent writing skills and computer literacy
*Experience creating documentation panels
*Ability to collaborate well with other teachers and administrators
