Description, Responsibilities, & Duties

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Reggio Emilia teachers to join our team at Weaver Child Development Center in Canton, Ohio. The ideal candidates will have a deep understanding and appreciation for the Reggio Emilia approach to education and be committed to creating a nurturing and enriching learning environment for children.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate and engaging curriculum activities based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy.
Foster a sense of wonder and curiosity in children by providing a stimulating and inspiring learning environment.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community members to support children’s learning and development.
Document and reflect on children’s work and learning experiences to inform future planning.
Act as a mentor for children as they explore and discover the world around them.
Maintain an organized and inviting classroom space that reflects the children’s interests and learning experience.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Reggio Emilia experience preferred.
Previous experience working in a Reggio Emilia or similar educational setting.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for students.
