Nonprofit Santa Monica Preschool community seeks
collaborative and reflective classroom Co-teacher to work with children ages 2.9 to 6 years. The position includes working with small groups, facilitating meetings for up to 16 children, documenting, co-shaping curriculum, preparing rich indoor and outdoor learning environments, and reflecting with children, colleagues and parents. Teacher hours are from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.,
august through mid-June.
A Qualified Candidate must have the ability to collaborate warmly with children, parents and colleagues, have strong verbal and written communication skills, have understanding of reggio inspired theory and practice, a minimum of 2 years of preschool classroom teaching experience, and be able to use Mac computers and related software. A BA in child development, early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
A starting monthly salary based on $18 to $20 per hour.
