Delc is an arts focused developmental preschool through 5th grade early childhood school. our emergent curriculum is based on the premise that children’s interests and natural curiosity should drive their learning. inspired by the practice of the preschools in reggio emilia, italy our philosophy is based on the social constructivist ideas of lev vigotsky and howard gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences which recognizes that children are individual learners with varied strengths and learning styles. we aim to set the stage for positive dispositions about self, school and life-long learning.
