Preschool Teacher – Starting ASAP

Description, Responsibilities, & Duties

• Supporting Instructional Activities:
  • Assist the lead teacher in carrying out lessons, activities, and projects.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to children as needed.
• Supervision and Safety:
  • Monitor children during activities, playtime, and transitions to ensure their safety.
  • Support children in following classroom expectations and routines.
• Classroom Setup and Maintenance:
  • Help prepare materials and set up the environment for daily activities.
  • Clean up after activities and maintain an organized and welcoming classroom.
• Promoting Positive Interactions:
  • Build trusting relationships with children to support their emotional and social development.
  • Encourage positive peer interactions and assist in resolving minor conflicts.
• Assisting with Assessments:
  • Share insights with the lead teacher about individual children’s needs and behaviors.
• Maintaining a Positive Environment:
  • Provide encouragement and support to children to boost their confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
• Adapting to Classroom Needs:
  • Step in as needed to manage tasks, including supervising children during breaks or assisting with snacks and meals.

 

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

Applicants must have either – A CDA (Child Development Associate) certification or college credits in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
OR coursework or certification in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and prior experience working with young children in a childcare, preschool, or educational setting.
 

Salary & Benefits

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Hourly Rate: $20–$24, based on experience and education
Benefits: Paid days off included.

Cobb Jewish Preschool is a new and premier Jewish preschool in East Cobb, Georgia. CJP unites children, teachers, family, and community in a positive and constructive early childhood experience.
