Spanish Faculty, Early Childhood

Description, Responsibilities, & Duties

Pembroke Hill School seeks a part-time Spanish language educator to join its early childhood team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan lessons and teach students age 2 through 5 years old
  • Collaborates and communicates with Spanish team in the Elementary grades, as well as the Early Childhood Lead Faculty, Art and Music teachers
Schedule

This is a part time position with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:30am–12:30pm
During the school year, there are two 2-week breaks (December and March), one week at Thanksgiving, plus holidays and sick days.
 

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • Two or more years experience as a Spanish language teacher at the early childhood level is preferred.
  • Native Spanish language speaker or Spanish fluency and knowledge required
  • Previous experience leading acquisition-driven language instruction or willingness to learn.
  • Proven knowledge of how children learn languages
