Our primary mission is to meet the unique educational, emotional, and social needs of each and every student who walks through our doors. We accomplish this by providing a rich, holistic experience in a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility. All of the staff members at ISP share a common goal – and that is to do whatever it takes to help our students reach their full potential as learners and as global citizens. We recognize that education is a complex, dynamic process, and we constantly evaluate our practice to ensure that students are engaged, that they are appropriately challenged, and that they experience joy in learning.
The ISP early childhood program is influenced by the principles of the Creative Curriculum Developmental Continuum, a developmentally appropriate framework for children ages 3-5 that rests on a firm foundation of research and early childhood theories. It is also influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach as we strive to help students construct knowledge and make learning visible. Our program helps students acquire social competences and fundamental skills they need to succeed as learners of the 21st century. Home and school are the two most important and meaningful worlds for pre-kinder students. Building a partnership with our students’ families is an essential component of the ISP pre-school program.
At ISP, we believe that life-long learning is critical for everyone. Our early release time on Wednesdays is devoted to professional development activities designed to continually improve our services to students and families. Education is not static, and our staff understands the importance of keeping up with the latest research regarding effective educational practices.
