Exhibition + Atelier
2022—Present Day
Technology enters the everyday, not dominating, not replacing, but mixing with other languages. It enters as an environment, not strictly instrumental and functional, but rather as the connector of multidisciplinary learning and explorations. As such, technology supports children’s ways of knowing, inaugurating new environments of socialization in which each child’s mental world finds possible new representations.
“The development of digital technology and information networks is producing significant changes in our ways of learning and communicating, our ways of constructing knowledge and identity. Between schools which tend to confine computers in special labs, and predominantly teach IT techniques, separating technology from a sense of humanity, and other after-school activities which only offer technologies gaming and relational dimensions, we must think of places for creative, constructive, meta-cognative reflection on the potentials of these tools.”
