Preschool Lead Teacher

Description, Responsibilities, & Duties

Responsibilities
  • Display Passion, Compassion, and Empathy toward Children, Families, and Community
  • Creating a warm, nurturing and Flexible Environment.
  • Team Member, Work cooperatively with Family, Staff and Third Party Consultants to support the child’s individual needs.
  • Maintain Positive Communication and able to receive positive Feedback.
  • Maintaining Confidentiality as it pertains to Program.
  • Adhere to NAEYC Code of Conduct.
  • Commitment to Participate in ongoing Workshops/Trainings for Professional Growth.
  • Provide Individualized and Small Group instruction, following the children’s interest. (Emergent Curriculum)
  • Observing, Documenting, and Reflective Practice.

 

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications
  • Teacher Qualified / Minimum Valid State Associate Teacher Credential
  • Part Time 5 – 6 hours a day, Five days a week.
  • At least 2 Year Experience, minimum preferred
  • Fingerprints/Live Scan clearance
  • TB clearance
  • CPR and First Aid Certified.
  • Health Screening/Immunizations required
  • Current Mandated Reporter Certificate
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to Supervise and work with children during Indoor and Outdoor Activities
  • Able to physically interact with children at their level and lift and/or move items of up to 40 pounds.
Additional Qualifications
  • 2+ years Experience in Lead Teacher / Associate Teacher
  • Experience in Positive Behavior Management
  • Bilingual, Preferred Not required

  • Small groups with a 1:8 teacher-child ratio
  • Age 2.5 – 5 years old.
