Responsibilities
- Display Passion, Compassion, and Empathy toward Children, Families, and Community
- Creating a warm, nurturing and Flexible Environment.
- Team Member, Work cooperatively with Family, Staff and Third Party Consultants to support the child’s individual needs.
- Maintain Positive Communication and able to receive positive Feedback.
- Maintaining Confidentiality as it pertains to Program.
- Adhere to NAEYC Code of Conduct.
- Commitment to Participate in ongoing Workshops/Trainings for Professional Growth.
- Provide Individualized and Small Group instruction, following the children’s interest. (Emergent Curriculum)
- Observing, Documenting, and Reflective Practice.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications
- Teacher Qualified / Minimum Valid State Associate Teacher Credential
- Part Time 5 – 6 hours a day, Five days a week.
- At least 2 Year Experience, minimum preferred
- Fingerprints/Live Scan clearance
- TB clearance
- CPR and First Aid Certified.
- Health Screening/Immunizations required
- Current Mandated Reporter Certificate
- Fluent in English
- Ability to Supervise and work with children during Indoor and Outdoor Activities
- Able to physically interact with children at their level and lift and/or move items of up to 40 pounds.
Additional Qualifications
- 2+ years Experience in Lead Teacher / Associate Teacher
- Experience in Positive Behavior Management
- Bilingual, Preferred Not required
