Reggio Emilia, Italy is “Not Just Anyplace.” Professional development courses for North American participants are essential in building understanding of the relationship between education, culture, context, and history. Courses held in Reggio Emilia provide important experience in a wide area of subject matter and routinely include visits to infant-toddler centers and preschools, the Loris Malaguzzi International Center, local exhibits, Remida Recycling Center, and other cultural opportunities.

The newest edition of the exhibit, “The Wonder of Learning – The Hundred Languages of Children”, offers an extensive view of the experiences of the infant-toddler centers and preschools of Reggio Emilia, Italy. With six sections and more than 20 videos, the exhibit makes visible a number of strategic choices and traces that offer visitors an encounter with thinking. Our exhibit project, in collaboration with Reggio Children, rotates the exhibit among host communities throughout North America, creating the opportunity for educational debate and study based on a new image of education.
